Se ne discuterà il 13 dicembre, in occasione del Talk organizzato dalla RCS Academy Business School, un importante momento di confronto e dibattito tra Istituzioni, rappresentanti del Governo e i principali protagonisti del Mercato Legale. Following 3-day ‘marathon’ talks, the European co-legislators have reached a provisional agreement on the AI Act. Professor Oreste Pollicino will discuss the issue in a global perspective this afternoon, during the third panel of the conference "AI Act: etica, diritto e informatica a confronto", an important day of discussion, with the scientific coordination by the Società Italiana per l’Intelligenza Artificiale (SIpEIA) Fondazione FAIR: Future Artificial Intelligence Research and the organizational coordination by Professor Giovanni Sartor, Dott. Federico Galli and Dott.ssa Paola Aurici.

Dopo una maratona lunga tre giorni, i co-legislatori europei hanno raggiunto l'accordo politico sul testo dell'AI Act. Il Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino, insieme alla Prof.ssa Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro, analizzerà il tema in una prospettiva globale l'11 dicembre, in occasione del terzo panel del convegno "AI Act: etica, diritto e informatica a confronto", un'importante giornata di approfondimento, con il coordinamento scientifico della Società Italiana per l’Intelligenza Artificiale (SIpEIA) e della Fondazione FAIR: Future Artificial Intelligence Research e il coordinamento organizzativo del Prof. Giovanni Sartor, del Dott. Federico Galli e della Dott.ssa Paola Aurici.

Generative AI rises many major issues. Among the most critical, its impact on trust, democracy and elections. Professor Oreste Pollicino will address the topic during the session organized by the Center for AI and digital policy (CAIDP), which takes place on 7 December 2023 at 12.30-13.30 CET / 6.30-7.30 EST, in the Palais de l’Europe at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. Professor Pollicino will join Craig Matasick, OECD, Integrity in Government, Information Integrity, Mariela Oliveira, UNESCO Communications and Information Sector's Division for Digital Inclusion, Policies & Transformation, and Megan Shahi, Center for American Progress. The discussion is moderated by CAIDP President, Merve Hickok.

Il California Delete Act recentemente adottato consentirà ai consumatori di ottenere che i data brokers cancellino le loro informazioni personali online. Il Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino affronterà il tema nel primo incontro del ciclo di dialoghi transatlantici su questioni urgenti nel settore del diritto dei consumatori organizzato dall'UC Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice e dall'European Law Institute Digital Law SIG. Il Professor Pollicino si unirà al Direttore Scientifico di ELI Christiane Wendehorst, che discuterà il "diritto all'oblio" del GDPR, e ad Emory Roane, autore principale del California Delete Act.

The recently enacted California Delete Act will permit consumers to instruct data brokers to erase their personal information online. Professor Oreste Pollicino will address the topic in the first conversation of a series of transatlantic dialogues on pressing issues in the area of consumer protection law, created by the UC Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice and the European Law Institute Digital Law SIG. Professor Pollicino will join the ELI Scientific Director Christiane Wendehorst, who will discuss the GDPR’s "right to be forgotten", and Emory Roane, principal author of the California Delete Act.

L'avvento di ChatGPT ha reso ancor più evidenti i dilemmi etici posti dall'intelligenza artificiale. Il Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino affronterà questi temi in occasione del terzo incontro del ciclo "10 parole per capire il presente", realizzato da Fondazione Corriere della Sera in collaborazione con Fondazione AEM. L'incontro, intitolato "Intelligenza Artificiale. ChatGPT tra Dante e l'etica", sarà coordinato da Massimo Sideri, editorialista del Corriere della Sera, con i saluti introduttivi di Alberto Martinelli, Presidente Fondazione AEM. Intervengono insieme al Professor Pollicino, Giuseppe Antonelli, Professore ordinario di Storia della lingua italiana all'Università degli Studi di Pavia, e Francesca Rossi, Ibm Fellow e AI Ethics Global Leader.

The advent of ChatGPT has made the ethical dilemmas posed by artificial intelligence even more evident. Prof. Avv. Oreste Pollicino will address these issues at the third meeting of the cycle "10 Words to Understand the Present," organized by Corriere della Sera Foundation in collaboration with AEM Foundation. The meeting, titled "Artificial Intelligence. ChatGPT between Dante and Ethics," will be coordinated by Massimo Sideri, Corriere della Sera columnist, with introductory greetings by Alberto Martinelli, President of AEM Foundation. Speaking together with Professor Pollicino will be Giuseppe Antonelli, Professor of History of the Italian Language at the University of Pavia, and Francesca Rossi, Ibm Fellow and AI Ethics Global Leader.
